Oakland, CA – Developers Ellis Partners LLC and Kazan, McClain, Lyons, Greenwood and Harley PLC announced that the nationally-recognized plaintiffs’ asbestos law firm will relocate its offices to Jack London Square. The firm, a fixture in Oakland since its founding in 1974, will occupy a full floor in the new Jack London Market building on Oakland’s scenic waterfront.
“We are delighted to welcome a tenant with such a sterling reputation, one unmatched in its field,” said Jim Ellis, Managing Principal of Ellis Partners LLC which, along with Transbay Holdings, is undertaking the redevelopment of Jack London Square. “Kazan understood that our building represents a compelling value compared to other options in the market: a state-of-the-art building on the waterfront with unique amenities. We look forward to handing them the keys to their custom built space late this summer.”
The five-year lease comprises 25,000 square feet of Class A office on the 4th floor of the new Jack London Market building. The space features sweeping water views with a private balcony overlooking the palm-lined Jack London Plaza and the San Francisco Bay beyond. Gensler Architects custom-designed the firm’s space to maximize the ample natural light and provide full access to the available views for all employees. Jack London Square is located just blocks from downtown Oakland and within easy reach of all forms of public transportation. A free shuttle service to begin this summer will further enhance travel along the Broadway corridor, linking Jack London Square to 12th Street BART and the Uptown District. The frim’s employees will have access to abundant onsite parking as well as Jack London Square’s many exceptional restaurants and the coming Jack London Market, a 60,000 square foot public marketplace.
“Our staff can’t wait to move into this gorgeous building,” said Steven Kazan, Founding, Senior, and Managing Principal of Kazan, McClain, Lyons, Greenwood & Harley PLC. “We’re excited to be part of the vibrant community being built in Jack London Square.”
