111 Sutter St.
San Francisco
Overview
This landmark 22-story San Francisco North Financial District high rise was originally built in 1926. Upon acquisition, Ellis Partners completed a comprehensive redevelopment including a complete building system upgrade, core renovation and seismic upgrade at a total cost of over $23 million. In keeping with the building’s rich history, every effort was made to preserve and enhance its unique and elegant design while providing state-of-the-art amenities for today’s demanding tenants. Of particular note, the building’s original copper “spires” (which had been removed decades ago) were reconstructed from original plans and re-installed on the rooftop. The building carries a “Category I” designation as a Historically Significant Building and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
